TIMME - The Infinite Monster Massacre Exercise
Entered into Synty Spooky Jam
You've entered TIMME (The Infinite Monster Massacre Exercise). How long will you survive the onslaught of "monster" attacks, wave after wave? Gather your coins and purchase health, upgrades and other goodies.
Three worlds await you:
Knight- Battle hordes of Goblins, steal their treasure and drink their health potions.
Pirate - Be a pirate captain, take the gold coins from pirates who have no pockets and drink the grog to stay alive longer.
End of Days - In this post apocalyptic world, humans have all but been cleaned away from the planet. The only humanoid life on the surface, is artificial life. Now the AI wishes to exterminate the human virus from the planet completely. It's been so long and so much has been destroyed. They've not encountered any humans for ages and so they no longer no exactly what humans are like or how they lived. In preparation for humans being totally expunged from their underground protection, this exercise has been created to help the droid army train.
Survive for long enough and you'll be granted access to a firing beam from the sky and even a shield of protection to aid you in your venture.
Write your survival times in the comments below.
Controls:
WASD to move. Left Click mouse to attack, middle button to roll. P to pause.
Notes:
The game is a little out of balance, so a lot more time would be needed to refine that. I didn't get to make all the other cards and God Weapons I wanted. The shop will show random items. Also you can't change the actual weapon you hold yet, just upgrade them. There are only 5 different waves. After that it's the same group of monsters generate.
I started creating it on the 18th Oct and released it on the 28th Oct, with very little sleep!
Tips
Upgrade your weapon in the shop as soon as you have the 2000 coins.
Try to last 1 minute to unlock the Beam Of the Gods.
Health and coin dispensers don't run out.
The health dispenser on the EndDays theme can be moved!

This was a lot of fun! Nice work with the enemy waves. Combat could be improved (melee is difficult when you have to face the enemy to attack). BTW, regarding your comment below, Samyam has some great videos going into the input system, mouse usage, etc. Also, very cool that you did a development log during the jam!
Thanks for playing I'm glad you had fun with it.
The melee was originally supposed to allow different combos, with a new move getting unlocked as you progress, but you know ... time. So ended up being some twirls. Maybe I'll add a targetting system next time.
Thanks for the info on Samyam, I've seen a couple of her vids on something else, I'll check out the ones on the input system. There's so much to learn!
I'm glad you noticed the dev blog, I thought it'd be fun to list stuff down, along with my random ideas. I enjoyed the process so I think I'll do it again next time.
Hehe what a rush! I like the concept a lot, only think i wouldve liked was a way to target enemies or rotate character with cursor. Good work!
Thanks so much for playing. I like your idea to target enemies. An auto-targetting would've been fairly simple to do. Which theme did you like the most?
I'll have to learn more about unity player inputs, so we can switche between gamepad and KB Mouse profiles, something for next time, I currently find it tough to balance ease of use with accuracy.
Pirate. Most gamers do PC, so unless youre planning on extending the game I wouldnt worry too much on input management.
